Greeting fellow lit-venturers! It’s time to embark on an adventure through literary portals wielding whatever magic or skills we choose to hone. In none other than The Reading Quest!
Summary
The Reading Quest, crafted by the mystical and talented Aentee from Read at Midnight, is a videogame based reading challenge
–a TBR RPG (role playing game) running from August 13th to September 10th. (All artwork for the challenge and found in this post was conjured by CW from Read, Think, Ponder. I wish I could make pretty art with fancy font. *sighs*) Readers select one of four roles: a mage, knight, rogue, or bard. Players follow the path of their chosen role and read books from their TBR that match the prompts on that path.
Readers can also track points (health points and experience points) they earn for the number of pages and books they read, the type of books they read, and completing their path. Bonus squares, in the center, offer extra reading prompts and more opportunities to earn points. Those ambitious readers that finish all of the prompts for their role may choose another role and path for additional points. Points can also be earned by posting on social media, using #TheReadChallenge hashtag.
The reader with the highest score at the end of the challenge is deemed The Quest Champion and will be awarded bookish treasure! For more details and to sign up, visit The Reading Quest. Sign up ends August 13th, so hurry!

Looks like a pretty good list to start. Hopefully, I’ll be able to read bonus books too. (That would give me a great excuse to read The Sandcastle Empire by Kayla Olson. Would it?) I’ll try to track my progress and update this post as often as possible. I’ll also post some updates on social media (Twitter, Litsy, Goodreads, and so on) as well. (Did you know there’s a Goodreads group for this challenge?)

I was thinking to join this challenge myself, but it’s just not feasible so thank you for preparing a spreadsheet, hopefully it’ll be useful for others who join the reading quest.
A little side note, though, I am not sure whether this is because I’m on mobile, but when I click the link to the tracker it says file not found.
