What time is it? Readathon Time! The 24 Hour Take Control TBR Pile Read-A-Thon is a brand new reading marathon brought to you by Kimberly from caffeinatedbookreviewer.com. Our objective? To shrink our TBR piles a little (though I’m sure you’ll discover more interesting reads during the readathon…it’s okay, it happens ^_^) while having fun and interacting with fellow readers. Yay!
And did I mention there are prizes for participating in challenges alongside the readathon? Well, there are. So join us. You know you want to.
Interested? Well, it takes place today March 12, 2016. (Sorry about the last minute notice. Just found out about it myself.) Don’t have 24 hours to read? No problem. Read for as long as you like. And as many books you like. Just remember: Only books published before March 1, 2016 count toward this challenge. For more details, visit Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Here’s what I plan to read for now:
Truthwitch (The Witchlands, #1) by Susan Dennard
The 5th Wave (The 5th Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey
Gunner Skale (The Mortality Doctrine, #0.5) by James Dashner
Yeah, it’s a YA kinda day. Not sure how long I’ll be reading today, so this list could change–there’s quite a lot going this weekend.
I’ll try keeping this post and my tweets regularly updated throughout the day. So you can follow my progress if you’d like to.
If you want to participate, you can still sign up here. If not, you can always show participating readers some love and tune in by following on Twitter: @kimbacaffeinate and #TakeControlThon. Or on Instagram: kimbacaffeinate and #TakeControlThon. Happy Reading!
*UPDATE*
So, I just completed the first annual 24 Hour Take Control TBR Pile Read-A-Thon. And I was able to finish 2 1/2 books…yay!
Don’t worry I’ll finish up with the second half of The 5th Wave, hopefully, within the next few days. As long as I don’t get too distracted with any other books. So many interesting books…and so pretty…
Let’s just say I’ve enjoyed a nice combination of productivity and fun today. I loved the comments and pics shared, and challenges everyone participated in on Twitter and Instagram. Thank you Kimberly and fellow readathoners for a fun weekend activity! I can’t wait to do this again next Readathon Time. ^_^
